The Value of Experience

Since 1918, OREMOTOR has been dedicated to the manufacture and repair of electric motors. For 100 years, OREMOTOR has acquired extensive experience that allows it to master the repair of wind turbine generators today.

1918: Jesús Romero, an electrical engineer, creates Oremotor to design and coil the first electric motors.

1920: Oremotor manufactures the motors for the iconic funicular of Mount Igueldo in San Sebastián.

1960: Development of the first electric current motors associated with speed variators.

1990: Faced with the concentration of the electric motor manufacturing market, OREMOTOR, as a family-owned and independent company, focused on the repair and rewinding of AC and DC industrial motors.

To adapt to its business development, OREMOTOR moved its activity to its current facilities in the town of Hernani (Guipúzcoa).

1997: Oremotor begins repairing the first wind turbine generators.

1997-2018: Just as it did for industrial engines, OREMOTOR has progressively incorporated wind turbine technology into its processes. Over the last twenty years, this activity has grown due to the need for mass repair of wind turbines.

OUR FACILITIES

During the last twenty years our business has grown thanks to the need for massive repair of wind turbine generators.

To adapt to its business development, Oremotor moved its activity to its current facilities in Hernani in March 1990.

THE INTERNAL ORGANIZATION

Since 2016, the company has implemented a methods department whose objective is to technically structure all operations in order to guarantee the repeatability of processes and the quality of the work performed.
